A little bit about meMy lifelong goal is to be the change I want to see in the world.
My research focuses on how biodiversity affects ecosystem functioning and stability (BEF-S) under global change, currently interested in grassland responses and recovery from long-term nutrient enrichment. My education and research training took place in many fantastic research groups in China, the Netherlands, and the United States. I am currently a PhD student, working with Elizabeth Borer and Eric Seabloom, in the Ecology, Evolution and Behavior program at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My hometown is Zhangzhou (a small coastal city in southeastern China). I started living with a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury in my 2nd year of college in Shanghai. I moved to Utrecht in the Netherlands for a Master's program in 2021, and moved to Minnesota in the United States for a PhD program starting from 2023. I firmly believe in the concept of life-long learning, and am trying to practice it in my daily life (You can find more about it on the ABSORB pages).
